149 & 60

Today is the last pill of month 2 out of 4... Tomorrow I'm halfway done with Rifampin! 60 more days!! Woohoo!

After a long day at work I am worn out again...I am feeling older than I should, lol! :) that must mean I need more rest. :) I should get started on that right away.

I'm putting Maddie down & then it's my turn! I hope everyone had a great day today! Goodnight friends!

148 & 59

It was a great appt today! No suprises or worries, just another bottle of Rifampin & an appt made for next month! Yay! :) we are getting somewhere!

I caught up on some well needed sleep after my appt! I love naps! :) and then cleaned house a little (boo) and did some laundry (double boo). That was as productive as my day has been. Oh wait... I did go to the library today & the resale shop I love. So I guess I got a few things taken care of today.

Our new gate is up & running...our previous one had a run-in with a trailer, so the guys have been working on getting the new one installed...
Here is the old one... The donkeys were sad..
But it's all good, got a new green one & it is functioning again! :) the donkeys & cows have been penned up in the corral the last couple of days, so they are happy to stretch their legs again. I'll have to get a pic of the pretty new gate up soon.

Oh, btw, we are thinking of expanding our animal family at the 4J. John would like to get some goats. Any suggestions?

Allright. I'm gonna hit the hay. I have two to work the next two days.
Hope everyone has a fantastic night!
Goodnight!

Oh man, am I tired! :) I got to go use my level III NICU skills at the Dellio again today! Yay for fun times, & for refreshing my skills! And there are so many super awesome nurses there (and a few I work with at my normal home too) that were so kind & happy to see me! It felt good.

But now I'm super duper tired & ready to hit the hay, lol. I made it home just in time to tuck Maddie in. It's the small things. :)

Tomorrow is my appt with my dept of health nurse! :) yay! More red pills!! I am staring down that halfway mark!

And that's about everything left in my head tonight!
Goodnight friends!

What a busy Monday...
I got several errands taken care of, including getting Maddison's new glasses! Yay! :) she is a happy girl! I am a happy mommy!

I don't have too much to say today...short attention span, lol!
So I'm gonna go watch Curious George with my girl... :)

Goodnight friends!

Football Sunday! Although I was eventually let down by the Denver defense in OT, it was a great game...both defense & offense. They played fantastically. Can I just say...I would hate hate hate being in that stadium. How can people enjoy the game when people are screaming at eardrum-bursting levels for half the game? It would totally suck to spend all that $ just to be uncomfortable for half of the game. Just my .02

Got to see my sis again & my niece Payton...thankfully she was here & completely willing to swim with Maddie today. :) 77 degrees is not quite swimming temp for me. They played & swam for almost an hour. Thank goodness for awesome cousins! :)
Payton was teaching Maddie some cheerleading/tumbling skills on the trampoline... I have a feeling she might want real lessons soon. Hmmm.

So, for any newcomers to my blog, I was diagnosed with a latent tuberculosis infection in April, most like related to my career as a RN. I am on my second drug to try to treat it. This has been ongoing for a while, and my blog helps me let out every crazy idea & thought in my head....and people read it! Lol! And I thought I was the crazy one ;) but it is an amazing outlet & is so addictive. It's like therapy, but free. I can let out every emotion that I am totally unwilling to do in person. And it feels great. And I feel huge amounts of love and understanding from my friends & family. Everyone must have a huge amount of respect and/or pity for my amazing husband after reading all of my crazy thoughts. He puts up with so much & still loves me! I am def a lucky girl.
Speaking of my man... Here is a pic from his fishing trip this weekend...
Nothing like a man bringing home the bacon...or fish...what the hell, it's dinner. :)

I feel I must say...way to go Giants!!! (Sorry sister)
There were a lot of mistakes, but great win! Yay for Peyton's brother! (Maddie's name for Eli, lol)
Allright friends! I've got to root for my sweet friend Donnalee's team, so I need to focus on the game. Go Steelers! Sorry guys, it's football season! I'm up for every excuse to watch a game & pick a winner! :)

Goodnight friends! Sleep tight...don't let the bedbugs bite!

144 & 55

What an emotional day! I went with my sis to say goodbye to an old friend of ours, Misty.
She was taken from us too young, only 35 years old with 5 children surviving her.
It was a good service with a lot of people there remembering her. Her three oldest kids and various family members & friends took to the podium to share stories & memories of Misty. She was a good soul, and very loving & very giving.

The rough part was when her kids were speaking. And then her oldest son played a song on his guitar & sang a beautiful song that he had sang for her a few weeks back. It was a very inspiring song of faith, he has an amazing voice. I know she was beaming from heaven, full of pride for her eldest child. I had chills several times. Most everyone who knows me knows that I hate to cry, and try to hold back, probably more than I should.

There was no holding back when he sang to us & I could just picture her there listening. The tears were streaming down my face before I even knew I was crying. Each of her children is blessed to be a part of her & have big loving hearts like hers. She will truly be missed.

I was remembering how she was the first teenage mother I knew. She was married young and had her oldest child young. He was a very small baby when I found out I was pregnant. I remember going to her, the first person I told that I was pregnant, and holding her son while I tried to wrap my mind around it. I remember looking into his eyes and knowing that I couldn't provide my child the love & life he deserved. Here was one of my best friends, 16 & married to a good young man, and I saw how difficult it was for them. I knew I could not provide a loving family home & that it wasn't fair to even think of it. I knew in my heart what was right. Those beautiful eyes from 19(ish) years ago, were closed with tears while he was singing a beautiful song today. Where does the time go?
That young man helped change my life and the life of my son all those years ago, just from his wonder-filled gaze. I remember how much his mother & father both loved him more than anything.

Wow. How much life changes. Those years were so long ago, but felt so recent  today.  Everyone should hug their loved ones tight, you never know when their last breath will be taken.

While I was there with Rhonda I had left Maddie with mom. Of course I get pics of her in the dirt & climbing trees within the hour, lol. She had fun with grandma.
And Uncle Bob was working hard in the background, digging the septic for moms new house....
And then, can't forget that she got to be the new stair tester! :)

She had a fun day...I had to explain funerals to her this morning, that wasn't so fun. Why is it so hard to find the right words?
When I got home Maddie asked me "Did you have a good time saying goodbye to your friend?" Lol....from the mouths of babes.

Then she & I cleaned up a flower bed & planted some new sunflowers. I hope we can get some blooms before the cold gets them. It just felt right to work in the dirt today & plant some seeds.
Of course then she had to swim...crazy girl. The pool is 77 degrees today. Maddies famous words "not too cold for me!" Ok, but it is too cold for mommy, lol.

That's all I have today. I hope all of my friends know how dear they are to me, and all my family knows how much I love them. Goodnight friends....

143 & 54

Oh my, I'm starting to feel like these #'s aren't moving, lol.
Oh well, almost halfway through Rifampin!

And yes, I did my project! Is it beautiful? Not so much, but come on, it's recycled pallets, lol... After a few last minute changes... Ta da!
And that would be my fall broccoli crop :)
It has been begging to be planted for days, lol... A little sad looking, but it's food!

And best of all, my little mini container garden for the greenhouse was free! We already had the nails & liner.
Yay, now to make a couple more :)

So, update on the glasses... I did buy the warranty/ins when I bought them! Yay! So, only $40 for the replacement glasses... No go on fixing, they are beyond repair.
The lady tried to get me to trade them out today with a pair of pink ones... Lol. I told her my daughter would disown me if I brought pink glasses home, & explained about yellow being her fave color. So they had to order them & we are looking at late next week.

I got to see my Grannie today & spend a few hours with mom. Very briefly talked to my older sis on the phone, & Maddie helped me build the planters (mom helped too! We are a great trio!)

So overall a good day.
I hope everyone else had as good a day.
Goodnight friends! Sleep tight!
