My journey with INH is about to begin. I was talking with a friend today & decided to start a blog about this chapter of my life... Mainly so I don't have to repeat myself every day when people ask how I am doing! ;) please ignore my "Resting Bitchy Face" as I am sure it will flare up again!!
Most of my friends & family have found out that I have been exposed to TB & have a latent TB infection (basically I am NOT contagious) and I am about to start treatment for it... For 9 months!!! I will be taking INH for 9 freaking months! It's a pretty strong drug & has some unpleasant side effects, all of which suck, but not as bad as active TB would suck!
So tomorrow morning is my appointment with the Dept of Health to pick up my meds... So tonight is my last night for alcohol for the next 9 months. There are a lot of other issues/things I am unable to do/eat while on this med, but I'm gonna focus on the etoh & try to make fun of it! So I am giving my liver one last kick tonight & I am hoping the treatment is not too bad on me. Of course most of you also know that sometime recently I must have broken a mirror while walking under a ladder with a black cat crossing my path & spilling salt all the way! So, who knows what is going to happen, lol.
I would also like to take a moment to say how amazing my family (Esp my husband & child) and friends have been lately...I have been a complete nutcase!!! And no one has pushed me off a bridge, so yay for self-restraint y'all!
I'm going to get back to my drink, goodnight! :)
